  • In this paper, the titled compound (probe L) was synthesized by using 2-aminopyridine and 4-N, N-diethylamino salicylaldehyde as starting materials, and its structure was characterized by NMR. In DMSO/Tris (6:4, V/V, pH=7.4) solution, the probe L can selectively recognize Zn2+ with fluorescence 'turn-on' responding, and fluorescence color of the system was changed from non-fluoresce to strong blue fluorescence under 365 nm UV lamp irradiation. The experimental results demonstrated that the binding ratio of L to Zn2+ is 1:1, the binding constant is 2.60×103 L·mol-1, the detection limit is 9.39×10-7mol/L, and the proper pH range is 7~11. The probe L can also detect Zn2+ in real water samples.
