Synthesis of 1,1-Dimethyl-3-butenyl Cyclopenta-dienyl Lanthanide Chloride Complexes

Five title complexes were synthesized. The characterization results obtained from elemental analysis, MS, ¹H NMR and thermogravimetric analysis revealed that the complexes have a general formula [C₅H₄C(CH₃)₂CH₂CH=CH₂]° LnCl₂° MgCl₂° THF, where Ln=La, Nd, Sm, Gd and Lu.
