Dihydropyrazole, a five-membered heterocyclic molecule, is an important organic compound with a broad range of biological activities. In this study, nine new 3-aryl-5-(furan-2-yl)-4, 5-dihydro-1H-pyrazole derivatives have been synthesized, and their in vitro anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities were evaluated in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated RAW-264.7 macrophages and DPPH model, respectively. The structures were characterized by IR, ¹H NMR and ¹³C NMR. The biological results demonstrated that the amide compounds showed potential anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity. In particular, compounds 4b and 4c were found to be similar anti-inflammatory to positive control dexamethasone (IC₅₀=7.84μmol/L and 10.52μmol/L, respectively), and DPPH free radical scavenging rate of compound 3, 4b, 4c and 4d was up to 90% (4mg/mL).
