An Efficicent Catalytic Synthesis of Derivatives of 3-[2-Substituted Aryl-1, 5-Benzodiazepin-4-yl]propionate

Eight novel compounds of 3-[2-Substituted Aryl-1, 5-Benzodiazepin-4-yl]propionate were efficiently synthesized by the Knoevenagel reaction, nucleophilic addition reaction and dehydration cyclization reaction, using substituted aromatic aldehyde and ethyl levulinate as starting material. The structures of these compounds were determined by ¹H NMR, ¹³C NMR, IR, MS and X-ray single crystal diffraction. The exhaustive researches on the synthetic reaction of the class of compounds were carried out, and the reaction mechanism has been unequivocally established in this paper.
