SYNTHESIS OF NOVEL TRLACETAL OXA-CAGE COMPOUNDS

Ozonolysis of compounds 3a-3e and 6 in dichloromethane at-78℃ followed by reduction with dimethylsulfide gave the novel triacetal oxa-cage compounds 5a-5e and 7 in moderate yields respectively.
