Catalysts based on Al₂O₃ and Cr₂O₃ with rare earth elements as promoter were prepared by impregnation method.The role of promoters in catalytic dehydrogenation of isobutane has been evaluated and investigated by XPS,ESR,TPD,and TG-DTA.The results showed that addition of rare earth elements could improve the catalytic ability and stability of the catalyts in dehydrogenation of isobutane.
