Syntheses of the Esters of N-Pivot Crown Ether Dithiocarbamic Acid

A novel method for the synthesis of N-pivot crown ethers is described.It is based on the reaction of 2,3-benzo-10-aza-l,4,7,13-tetraoxacyclopentadeca-2-ene with carbon disulfide in the presence of sodium hydroxide,which gave a sodium salt of substituted dithio-carbamic acid in gdod yield.The latler underwent a nucleophilic substitution with some alkyl halides,giving mono-,di-and tri-crown ethers,
