Peparation of Diacetals of 2,2-bis (hydroxymethyl)-1,3-propanediol

Diacetals of 2,2-bis(hydroxymethyl)-11,3-propanediol were prepared by condensation of aldehydes with 2,2-bis(hydroxymethyl)-1,3-propanediol in benzene. Thev were characterized by ¹H NMR,IR and elemental analysis.
