Synthesis and Properties of Photocurable Oligoester Acrylourethane Resins

Oligoesters were prepared by the reaction of adipic acid with dibasic alcohols, such as glycol, propanedio1-1,2, diglycol and triglycol. The oligoesters reacted with hexamethylene-diisocyanate and glycol acrylate to give photocurable oligoester acrylourethane resins. The resins were characterized by elemental analysis, IR and ¹H NMR spectra. These resins are in the solid state or semi-solid state with specific gravity d₄²⁰1.18, bulk viscosity (at 38℃) 28500 MPa· s, pH=5.5, content of hydroxyl group 0.3%, photocuring speed<0.3 s, excellent gloss and levelling. They are used as a main component of printing ink.
