Twelve bulkier substituted titanocene and zirconocene dichlorides have been synthesized by reactions of 6,6-dialkyfulvenes with 1-lithiocycloheptene followed by treatment with MCl₄(M=Ti, Zr), Their ¹H NMR, EIMS and IR spectra have been discussed.
