Polystyrene-Supported Selenoether Platinum Complex as Hydrosilylation Catalyst

Polystyrene-supported selenoethers were synthesized from chloromethylated crosslinked polystyrene and (HOCH₂CH₂)₂ Se or EtOCH₂CH₂SeCH₂CH₂OH via Williamson reaction. They were reacted with potassium chloroplatinite in acetone under nitrogen atmosphere to give title complexes. It was found that the platinum complexes exhibited high catalytic activity in the hydrosilylation of olefins with triethoxysilane.
