Molecular Structure and Gas Permeability of Polyaryletherketone Membranes

The permeability of five polyaryletherketone membranes to H₂,CO₂,O₂,N₂ and CH₄ has been examined over a temperature range of 30~100℃.The dependence of the per-meability on the temperature and molecular structure of the polymer has been discussed.The PEK-A membrane exhibits both higher permeability and selectivity than PEK-C membrane,and the PEK-H membrane shwed the most gas selectivity among five polymer membranes studied.
