Two novel solid complexes of 4'-bromobenzo-15-crown-5 with potassium thio-cyanate and potassium picrate respectively, having composition of K(BrB15C5)X(X=NCS^-or Pic^-),have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, infrared spectra,X-ray powder diffraction, molar conductance and solubility measurements.The results re-vealed the formation of 1:1(M:L)type complexes.
