N-ALKYLATION OF ACETANILIDE UNDER ULTRASONIC IRRADIATION

The N-alkylation of acetanilide has been carried out under the ultrasonic irradiation in the presence of phase transfer catalysts. The reaction conditions were mild and the yield of products was satisfactory.
