A modified type of zeolite Fe-ZSM-5 was used as catalyst for the addition-esterification between carboxylic acids and epoxides. Eleven β-hydroxyl propyl carboxylates were catalytically prepared by Fe-ZSM-5 in yield of 69~89%.
