CHARACTERISTICS OF Nd₂O₃ DOPED SnO₂ GAS SENSOR

SnO₂ gas sensors doped with 1wt% Nd₂O₃ were prepared. Their sensing characteristics were measured for more than ten gases. The results showed that the more fine the SnO₂, the higher its sensitivity to acetylene, methanol and city gas. The sensitivity of the doped SnO₂ was also found to be proportional to the boiling point of alkanes and alcohols, as well as to the unsaturation of the lower hydrocarbons.
