Synthesis of Nickelous Complex of Disproportionated Rosin Amine Schiff Base and Its Catalytic Performance for Oxidation of Abietic Acid

Disproportionated rosin amine Schiff base was synthesized from disproportionated rosin amine.The ligand and its nickel complex were characterized with FTIR,UV,elemental analysis etc.The catalytic performance of the nickel complex for the oxidation of abietic acid was studied.The influences of solvent,H₂O₂ concentration,reaction temperature and time were investigated.The results show the catalyst has good catalytic performance for the oxidation and polymerization of abietic acid,and the conversion of abietic acid reaches to 100%.
