SYNTHESIS OF ARYL-PENTADIENONES

In this paper, the synthesis of three new aryl-pentadienones has been reported.Their ultra-violet and infrared spectra have been preliminarily examined. It is found that a good linear relationship exists between σ_p^o of p-substituted groups and v(UV) or △λ(IR) of the compound Ⅲ.
