GAS SENSING CHARACTERISTICS OF Fe₂O₃-SnO₂ COMPOSITE

The character and mechanism of Fe₂O₃-SnO₂ composite as a gas sensor were studied. The effects of grain size of iron oxides and the ratio Fe₂O₃ to SnO₂ on gas sensing property were examined.The Fe₂O₃-SnO₂ composite as a gas sensing element has a mixed mechanism of bulkcontrolled type and surface-controlled type. The Fe₂O₃-SnO₂ composite doped with CuO, may be used as C₂H₂ gas Sensor.
