Synthesis Methyl-Substituted Poly (aryl ether ketone ketone)

Four methyl-substituted poly (aryl ether ketone ketone) (MePEKK) were synthesized from methyl substituted diphenyl ether and terephthaloyl chloride. Their structures and properties have been studied by IR, DSC and WAXD measurements. The polymers obtained showed an excellent heat-resistance and good solvent-resistance.
