Combining Photocatalytic and Photochemical Degradation of Aniline

A novel reaction device is reported, in which photocatalytic and photochemical actions on aniline take place simutaneously. It is made up of supported TiO₂ film electrode, Ru-Ti ele-ctrode and air electrode. The reaction substance of the air electrode is oxygen and the main product is H₂O₂. The results show that aniline is degraded in higher rate in the system than in single photocatalytic or photochemical system.
