Synthesis of Dibutyl Phthalate Catalyzed by SnCl₄

SnCl₄ was first used for catalytical synthesis of dibutyl o-phthal ate. Esterification ratio of 95.3% was achieved in conditions: n(o-phthalic anhydride)/n(n-butanol)=1/2.4, SnCl₄ 2.58%, 60 min.
