Synthesis of 1-Aryl-2,5-dimethyl-3,4-diacetylpyrrole Derivatives

Ten 1-aryl-2,5-dimethyl-3,4-diacetylpyrroles were synthesized by reaction of 3,4-diacetyl-2,5-hexanedione with substituted phenylamine in acid medium. The structures of all compounds were confirmed by IR, ¹H NMR and high resolution MS.
