The colloidal liquid aphrons(CLA) have been prepared. Their sizes and viscosities are mainly affected by the phase volume ratio(PVR). It is found that the stable CLA system capsulated with N1923 or TBP and the CLA with P507 show a good extraction ability for acetic acid and rare earth ions (Y³⁺, Nd³⁺, Yb³⁺), respectively.
