Four title complexes have been synthesized and their constitutional formula characterized by elemental analysis, MS, IR and ¹H NMR to be [C₅H₄C(CH₃)(C₃H₇)CH₂CH=CH₂] LnCl₂·MgCl₂·THF (Ln=La,Nd,Sm,Gd).
