Nanocrystalline BaCO₃ was synthesized at ambient temperature by solid state reactions. Phase, particle size and morphology of the prepared nanocrystallite were characterized by XRD and TEM. The crystallite product has a size about 30 nm. The effects of a series of reaction conditions on the synthesis of BaCO₃ are studied.
