Synthesis, Characterization and Biological Activities of Trialkyltin(Ⅳ) Ferrocene Carboxylates

Thirteen trialkyltin(Ⅳ) ferrocene carboxylates were synthesized. Their compositions and structures were characterized by UV, IR, ¹H NMR and elemental analysis. The bioassay tests showed that the bioactivity selectivity of the compounds was in close relation with the substituents on the Sn atom. The compounds having cyclohexyl, butyl, methyl and RMeSiCH₂(R=Me,Et) on the Sn atom exhibited an excellent acaricidal activity and among them the tributyltin ferrocene carboxylate appeared to be the most fungicidal active.
