Synthesis and Biological Activity of 1-Aroyl-4-(5-aryl-2-furoyl) Thiosemicarbazides

Thirty acylthiosemicarbazide derivatives(Ⅰ) were synthesized by addition reaction of 5-aryl-2-furoyl isothiocyanate(Ⅲ) with aroylhydrazines(Ⅱ). Their compositions and structures were confirmed by elemental analysis, IR and ¹H NMR spectrometry measurements. The plant growth effects of these compounds on rice and cucumber have been tested preliminarily.
