Kinetic Study on the Mass Transfer in Exraction of Zinc with Cyanex 302 on Hollow Fiber Membrane Assembly

The kinetics of mass transfer in extraction of zinc with raw Cyanex 302 on hollow fiber membrane assembly was studied. The effects of feed solution acidity, concentration of Cyanex 302 and metal ions, and flow rates of aqueous and organic phases on the mass transfer coefficients were discussed. The kinetic equation is derived as follows R=7.22×10^-5Vc_[HL]^0.852c_Zn²⁺^0.524c_H⁺^-0.264/S and the reaction rate constants were calculated.
