Synthesis of 8-Chloro-4-(2-chloro-4-fluorophenoxy)quinoline Catalyzed by KF/Al₂O₃

A facile method for the synthesis of title compound(CCFQ) in yield of 75% is reported. It is synthesized by reaction of 4,8-dichloroquin oline with 2-chloro-4-fluorophenol in the presence of KF/Al₂O₃. The product is confirmed by elemental analysis,¹H NMR, IR and MS.
