Electrochemical Properties and Catalytic Activity of Undecatungstomaganosilicate Isomers

Synthetic method and electrochemical properties of undecatungstomanganosilicate isomers T-and,U_i-K_n H_6-n[SiW₁₁Mn(H₂O)O₃₉]·xH₂O (U_i=U₁,U₂,U₃) are reported. The effect of structure on the redox has been investigated. The order of polarographic half-wave potential E_1/2 of heteropoly anions as follows: U₂ >U₁ >U₃ >T_o in epoxidation of maleic acid with H₂O₂ is U₃(87.86%) >U₁(82.50%) >T(64.20%) >U₂(56.10%).
