CO Sensor Fabricated by Pd-doped α-Fe₂O₃ Nano-powders

Fe₂O₃ nano-powders doped with Pd and other elements were prepared by co-precipitation and the doped sensor elements were characterized by XRD, TEM and specific surface area measurements CO sensors were fabricated with the nano-powders. The effects of the kinds and contents of doped elements, calcination temperature on the sensitivity of sensors were examined. The results showed that T-Fe₂O₃ doped with 5% Sn⁴⁺ and 1% Pd²⁺, calcinated at 450℃ gave the best sensitivity to CO.
