Synthesis, Characterization and Fluorescence Properties of Lanthanide Complexes of N,N',N"-Tri(3,5-dinitro benzenesulfonyl)-1,4,7-triazacyclononane

Six complexes of N,N',N"-tri(3,5-dinitro benzenesulfonyl)-1,4,7-triazacyclononane(TDNBS-Tacn) with rare earth(La,Ce,Pr,Nd,Sm and Eu) were synthesized and their compositions were characterized by elemental analysis, ¹H NMR, IR spectra and UV-Vis spectrum. Under the optimal conditions, the fluorescence spectra of complexes have a maximum excitation wavelength at 256 nm and maximum emission wavelength at 408 nm. The results indicate that the complexes have excellent luminescence properties.
