An assembled Mg₂Al-CO₃-SO₄ hydrotalcite has been prepared by ion-exchanging of Mg₂Al-CO₃ hydrotalcite with SO₄^2-. The Mg₂Al-CO₃-SO₄ hydrotalcite obtained has well-formed crystal structure and performs higher selective IR adsorption function than Mg₂Al-CO₃ hydrotalcite.
