On the Adsorption Mechanism of Cellulose Pyrrolidinedithiocarboxylic Ammomium for Cd²⁺

The adsorption mechanism of Cd²⁺ onto cellulose pyrrolidinedithiocarboxylic ammomium(CC-APDC) has been studied. The results show that the coordination could increase the thermal stability of the cellulose and the adsorption occurs through a chelating reaction between Cd²⁺ and O of OH from cellulose and S from pyrrolidine thiocarboxylic acid.
