A kind of sulfobetaine, N,N-dimethyl-N-(3-sulfopropyl)-4-ethenyl-benzenemethanaminiuminner salt was synthesized from tertiary amine and propanesultone and characterized by IR and ¹H NMR. The blood compatibilities of the polymers were evaluated by platelet adhesion method. No platelet adhesion in platelet rich plasma (PRP) was observed for two hours.
