Copolymer nanoparticles was prepared from 2,5-dimercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole and toluene-2,4-di-iso-cyanate and characterized by HRTEM、FTIR、TG and DTA techniques.The tribological properties of the nanoparticles as an additive in water were evaluated in a four-ball tester.The morphologies on the worn surfaces of the lubricated GCr15 steel were investigated by means of SEM.Experiment results revealed that tribological performance is highly improved when the copolymer is used as lubricant additive in water.
