Nine new water soluble α-amino phosphonate esters were synthesized from the addition reaction of salicylaldehyde amino acid Schiff base with dialkylphosphite.The structures of the compounds were confirmed by elemental analysis,IR and ¹H NMR,and preliminary biological activity tests showed that the compound f had notable positive effect on sterilization and promoting plant growth.
