Illuminating Chlorophyll: Innovative Chemistry Popularization Experiment

Chlorophyll is a compound that can be found everywhere in our daily lives. When exposed to ultraviolet light, chlorophyll emits red fluorescence, which holds significant value in scientific research and production. This paper aims to popularize a hands-on experiment that introduces the fundamental concepts of chlorophyll, the mechanism behind its fluorescence, laboratory and household preparation methods, experimental characterization, and potential applications. By doing so, it enables the public to better comprehend the principles of chlorophyll fluorescence, experimental procedures, and the promising prospects for its application, fostering a deeper appreciation for the beauty of chemistry and its essential contributions to societal development.
