Exploration and Teaching Practice of General Education Course “Chemistry in Our Lives”

General course education is an important way to cultivate innovative talents with comprehensive development of morality, intelligence, physical and aesthetic and broad basic knowledge. As a central, practical and creative subject, chemistry plays an indispensible role in the general education system to develop the comprehensive quality and innovation ability of students. This paper summarizes the teaching practice and characteristic feature of the general education course “Chemistry in Our Lives” offered by the author, aiming to further improve the teaching quality and achieve better teaching effect.
