Rapid Synthesis of Substituted Azobenzene Diacyl Chlorides under Ultrasonic Irradiation

With substituted azoaromatic diacid and thionyl chloride as starting materials,eight substituted azobenzene diacyl chlorides were first synthesized under ultrasonic irradiation.Compared with that of conventional heating method,the reaction time was shortened from 12 to 4 h,and the yields were in the range of 80%~95%.The structures of all as-prepared products were characterized by ¹H NMR,IR spectra and elemental analysis.
