This study implemented project-based teaching in a physical chemistry course, using the construction of p-V diagrams as a case study. Two specific tasks were designed: (1) plotting p-V diagrams for isothermal, adiabatic, and polytropic reversible processes, and (2) comparing p-V diagrams for reversible and irreversible adiabatic processes. Through these tasks, students were guided to analyze and solve problems from multiple perspectives. The collaborative nature of the project enabled students to experience the scientific research process, emphasizing the importance of understanding fundamental principles in addressing practical problems. Furthermore, this approach enhanced students’ teamwork skills, depth of critical thinking, and ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
