当今化学研究的范式转移、多学科的交叉互融以及数字化、信息化、智能化技术的突飞猛进,使得现代数学方法已经成为化学科学中实验工具、计算工具和知识信息的重要载体。而且,在新形势下,夯实化学背景学生的数学基础也高度契合面向国家战略的基础学科拔尖型、创新型人才的培养。化学中的数学方法是中山大学化学学院自2022年秋季学期新开设的面向化学类强基和拔尖计划二年级本科生的专业课程。结合化学专业学生的知识结构特点,制定了教学内容,并探索教学方式。学生的学习情况和反馈反映了他们对这门课程的兴趣及相关知识的掌握程度,但同时也凸显了提升化学专业学生的基本数学能力的迫切性。此外,我们也结合该课程开设以来遇到的问题,提出了进一步优化和改进的方案。
