SYNTHESIS OF RARE EARTH QUATERNARY SULFIDES Ln6MSi2S14(M=Co,Ni)
Abstract:
Two new series of rare earth sulfides containing Co (Ni) and Si have been synthesized by gas-solid reaction of rare earth oxides, cobalt (nickel) oxide and Si powder under a mixed gas flow of H2S and CS2 at high temperature (1100-1250℃). The X-ray powder diffraction data and the lattice parameters of these compounds were given.
