CCS Chemistry commits to publishing high quality works that make significant promotion to the research field. As the manuscript is submitted to CCS Chemistry, editorial office will make an initial editorial judgment regarding if it is suitable for our essential criteria. 

If the submissions are outside the scope of the journal/ poor scientific quality/ have been published previously/ do not pass the similarity check or some other reasons, they may be returned without sending for further processing. 

Those manuscripts that pass the initial process will be sent to deputy editor-in-chief for further consideration.
