The weight average molecular weights Mw, radii of gyration2>^1/2second virial coefficients A₂, and intrinsic viscosities in θ solvent [η]_θ of five fractionated samples of the chinese lacquer polysaccharide were measured by light scattering and viscosimetry.It is further evidenced that the polysaccharide in aqueous solution exists as a compact coil resulted from highly branched structure.
