Preparation of Low-Sulfur Expansible graphite

The low sulfur expansible graphite has been prepared using hydrogen peroxide as oxidant and a mixture of oxalic acid and nitric acid as exchnger,The optimum conditions for preparation were:H₂O₂(30%):graphite=1:10(by weight),25℃, 60min,H₂SO₄(98%).The expansible graphite with expanding volume of 200mL/g contains only 0.39% sulfur.
