Two fluorescent vinyl monomers containing 1,8-naphthalimide segments were synthesized and polymerized via atom transfer radical polymerization(ATRP).The monomers and the homopolymers were characterized by ¹H NMR,elemental analysis,UV,fluorescence emission spectroscopy and gel permeation chromatography(GPC).The photophysical properties of the monomers and the homopolymers were studied in detail.Results show that both the monomers and their homopolymers had green emission and solvent effect,and the fluorescence intensity was enhanced with the concentration increased from 1×10^-6 mol/L to 1×10^-4 mol/L,and the homopolymers had higher quantum yield than the monomers.
