Flaky hydrated strontium borate(SrB₆O₁₀·5H₂O) was synthesized by liquid-phase precipitation method with strontium chloride and ammonium hydrogen borate as the raw materials.The product was characterized by XRD,FT-IR and SEM.The thermal decomposition Kinetics of SrB₆O₁₀·5H₂O was studied by thermogravimetric analysis.The data of TG-DTA was analyzed by isoconversional non-linear and Coats-Redfern methods.The four-stage dehydration process and mechanism of the thermal decomposition of SrB₆O₁₀·5H₂O were established elementarily.The apparent activation energy and pre-exponential factor were also acquired.
