Syntheses and Spectral Behavior of 1,3,5,7-Tetramethyl-2,6-diethyl-8-alkyl Pyrromethene-BF₂ Complexes

Three novel 8-alkyl pyrromethene-BF₂ complexes have been synthesized. Their structures were confirmed by IR, MS,¹H NMR and elemental analysis. Their spectral behavior have been discussed in terms of UV-Vis and fluorescence spectral results, which indicate compound 4b has a extremely high fluorescence quantum yield.
